Hi,
We have Oracle9i. During the process to load data into agedcase.pendfile we got some problems with Oracle server. The load was not successful. I tried to delete all records and start loading again but got error:
> SQL> DELETE FROM AGEDCASE.PENDFILE;
> ERROR at line 1:
> ORA-01578: ORACLE data block corrupted (file # 2, block # 8226)
> ORA-01110: data file 2:
> 'D:ORACLEORADATAORACLE9IUNDOTBS01.DBF'
We tried to use RMAN to recover it:
> RMAN> BLOCKRECOVER DATAFILE 2 BLOCK 8226
But got error:
> Starting blockrecover at 17-JUN-04
> RMAN-00571: =========================================================
> RMAN-00569: =============== ERROR MESSAGE STACK FOLLOWS =============
> RMAN-00571: =========================================================
> RMAN-03002: failure of blockrecover command at 06/17/2004 11:15:49
> RMAN-05009: Block Media Recovery requires Enterprise Edition
We would like to know :
1) What is the alternative way how to recover file if we do not have backup before it crashed
2) Why we get message that Block Media Recovery requires Enterprise Edition.
Thank you
