Dear all,

I am new to this forum.

Thanks in advance for all who are going to help me out.

actually my issue is, i am having a table which holds 2 million records.

i am using a java program and from web i am trying to search the records.

i am using a where condition and i am trying to fetch only one record from the table.

but my response time is very slow.

what are all the basic performance tuning steps that i have to do it in the table(in oracle).

please throw some light on this,
